Last Day of Preschool 2014

Today was Maddox and Maclain's last day of preschool.  They are finishing a week early b/c we will be gone all of next week.  It is so hard to believe that another year has gone by and we are out for Summer!  We are trying to think of fun activities to keep us all entertained for the next 3 months... I will admit that I am nervous about it!  But I am sure that we will have our share of fun!

They have both had a great year and I cannot believe that Maddox will be in VPK next year!  They are both growing up so fast!

This morning we gave the kids' teachers their end of the year gifts.  I was so happy with how they turned out!  I found both the glass cutting boards and the vinyl at Hobby Lobby, and just attached the vinyl myself.  I hope they get good use out of them!!  Now I want one for myself!

I feel terrible that I didn't get end of the year pictures with their teachers, but honestly, I am doing good to remember just the essentials these days!  Life is kicking my tail right now. ;)

Lydia Comes to Town

Last Tuesday Lydia and her boys came to visit for a couple of days.  I was so excited that they were coming since they were supposed to come back in February, but had to reschedule their trip at the last minute!  They got here Tuesday right after lunch and the kids all had fun playing around the house that afternoon.  On Wednesday we decided to head down to Cascades Park and check out their splash pad.  These ideas always go much better in my head than they actually play out in person. ;)  By the time we left my kids were all crying.  All I could do was laugh!  Despite the grumpy moods, we still managed to have some fun. :)

Maclain was all smiles until I told her she couldn't have anymore snacks

Maddox said he was cold and his eyes hurt :)

This picture just makes me laugh... Cooper was TIRED!

Sweet Levi busted his lip on the concrete, but still had himself some fun!

Miller hung out on the sidelines and watched everyone else :)

By Wednesday afternoon we were all too exhausted to go anywhere, so we just let the kids play in the backyard.  I am so thankful for friends who are willing to come visit, knowing full well that they won't get any sleep and that all our kids will be grumpy.  It was crazy, but worth every minute!  I love you, Lydia!!

Mother's Day 2014

On Friday night Daniel took me out for Mother's Day.  We went to my favorite place, Outback, and enjoyed a nice dinner... just the two of us!  It it always SO NICE to get time away together, completely uninterrupted!

My parents were in town for the weekend, so the kids got to hang out with them while we went out to eat Friday night.  Miller woke up Saturday morning with a fever and was still not feeling well on Sunday, so my mom offered to stay home with her so that the rest of us could go to church.  It was so great getting to be with my mom on Mother's Day and I can't say enough good things about her.  She is the definition of selfless and I look up to her so much!

We had a great Mother's Day weekend and I am so thankful for my 3 little blessings that I get to be a mother to!

Miller - 7 Months

Miller Lee at 7 months...

Not much has changed since her 6 month appointment except her weight. ;)  I took her to the doctor today because I suspected she had another ear infection and I was right.  Her right ear is infected, and they couldn't get a good look into her left ear b/c it was full of puss... no fun!  So she is back on an antibiotic and also some ear drops.  When they weighed her today she was 19 pounds, 6 ounces!  Such a chunky girl :)

Maddox and Maclain love "babysitting" Miller right now.  It started out by me asking one of them to sit in the floor and play with her during those times where she was fussy and wanting someone right there beside her.  I called it babysitting one time and apparently it stuck.  Now they fight over whose turn it is to babysit her. They actually take it pretty seriously and talk to her and play with her just like I would.  They hold toys out for her to see and even sit right behind her with their arms wrapped around her so she won't fall over.  Miller loves the attention and it makes Maddox and Maclain feel like such great helpers, so it's a win-win for me. :)

We have just had to go back to Pampers diapers at night.  For several days, Miller was waking up soaked each morning so I made the switch.  So far, we are really happy with the results.  Every now and then she will still wet through, but for the most part, she is much drier in the mornings!

Happy 7 months Miller!!  We love you!
