Growing

...Our family that is! We found out a little over a month ago that we are expecting baby #2! We are so excited and can not wait for this next chapter in our lives. I am almost 9 weeks and have been feeling ok so far. I have had some nauseous days, but nothing too bad. We go back to the doctor next Thursday and will hopefully get to hear the little heartbeat. Being pregnant a 2nd time is already much different than the first time around. As far as how I feel it's pretty much the same, but I am so much busier this go 'round that I sometimes have to remind myself that I actually am pregnant. I don't have time to think about every little detail like I did with Maddox. I personally think this is a good thing, though, because this means that I don't worry as much as I used to. My due date is December 2nd so that will be a fun time of year to have a baby. This baby and Maddox will only be 20 months apart, so I am sure the beginning will be hard, but I think it will turn out to be a really good thing. My brother and I are only 17 months apart, and have always been really close. This will be a big year of changes for our family and we couldn't be more thrilled!

Easter 2011

I hope everyone had a blessed Easter today... we sure did! We went to church with my family this morning and then they came over to our house for lunch. This afternoon all of the cousins got together at my grandmother's house and the kids had a big egg hunt. We had a great time with family today. I only took a few pictures and I meant to get a family one, but forgot. Maybe next year...

Looking Up

Well, things may be starting to look up on the job front. Daniel had 2 interviews on Friday and both went really, really well. The first was with a company in Tallahassee, FL that he has been interested in for a really long time. The CEO of the company was in Auburn for the weekend and met with him while she was here. After the interview she said she wants him to come to Tallahassee to meet some of the other employees in the company. That was great news!! Then that afternoon he had a phone interview with a company in Richmond, VA and that interview went well also. They want to fly him up to Richmond in early May to meet with them again. We booked our flights and we will be headed to VA soon. While Daniel is interviewing again, I will be scoping out the town and seeing the sights... sounds pretty fun to me! He should be hearing from the FL company this week to set up a trip to Tallahassee. It is all very exciting b/c Daniel has worked sooooo hard to get where he is, and I truly feel like he deserves the job of his dreams! I can't wait to find out where we will be living. I have to admit, I have already been scoping out houses in both places...

Tallahassee, FL

Richmond, VA

The thought of moving is pretty scary to me since I have lived in the same small town my entire life. But I can't let that hold me back. Staying here really is not much of an option, and I desperately want Daniel to have a job that he loves. I know it will take some getting used to, but I am sure that things will be fine. I am hoping that we can find a great church with several couples in our age/stage of life. That is what has been so wonderful about being here. Our very best friends go to church with us and I feel that is so important to really feel connected... especially as a mom. I can't wait to see where we end up!!

C-R-A-Z-Y

...that is the word that best describes how I feel life is at the moment. I feel like I am never going to catch up and it seems like my mind has gone on vacation. I got a text at work today from one of my best friends that read, "Do you want to ride together tonight?" My first thought was, "She must have sent that to the wrong person because I do have plans tonight, but they don't involve leaving the house." But, knowing my state of mind lately, instead of asking her if she sent it to the wrong person, I responded with, "Oh dear, where are we going tonight? Have I forgotten something??" To which she laughed and reminded me of the meeting we have at church concerning VBS. Let me tell you, if she had not sent me that text, I absolutely would NOT have been at the meeting, which would have been bad considering I am on the committee for planning VBS. It's gonna be one of those weeks. We are also right in the middle of getting our house listed with a realtor, which is really exciting because I feel like she will do a marvelous job and will get it sold much faster than we could have ourselves. But it is also making me crazy! I can not keep our house in "showing mode" all the time and when I left for work this morning, I had to have everything done so they could come and take pictures while I was at work. Let's just say my car is packed to the brim with Maddox's "big toys" that won't fit in his toybox. Oh dear! I am so ready to get our house sold and to be able to look for our next house... but for that to happen I am also going to have to know where we will be living! :) Until next time...

Lions and Tigers and Bears

Yesterday me, Lydia, and April drove to Montgomery and met Brooke at the zoo. We tried to go the week before but the weather did not cooperate! It was so much fun to get to see Brooke and hang out with her and her 2 kiddos. They moved last summer and we don't get to see them as much anymore. :( We had such a great time and the weather was perfect! By the time we left to go home, Maddox and Cooper were asleep before we left the parking lot and Van was not far behind! One of my favorite things about getting to stay home with Maddox is having such a great group of close friends to get together with. It means the world to me that we are all so close and our babies will be too!
Brooke's oldest, Noah, was having too much fun to get in the group picture!

Soccer Time

Tonight Tucker had his first soccer "game". It was so much fun to go and watch him play! He looked so cute in his little uniform, too! The way they do it for that young of an age group is really neat. Instead of playing the actual game of soccer, they teach them different games to play with the ball. Tucker really seemed to enjoy himself... and so did Maddox. It was all we could do to keep him off the field! He wanted to be out there with the big kids so bad!
