Preschool Thanksgiving

This morning was the Thanksgiving feast at Maddox's preschool.  I know I have said it before, but I am so thankful that Maddox is in preschool at such a wonderful place.  He feels so loved and safe there, and as a mother, you just can't beat that feeling!  I never worry about him while he is at "school" and I trust every single person he comes into contact with there.  Timberlane's program has been such a blessing already and we are just beginning! 

Anyway, Daniel was able to take off work for a little while to be there, too, and it was so cute to see Maddox at his little program.  All of the classes came in and sang a few songs, then were dismissed to go see their parents and eat together.  Maddox did so well this time being in front of everyone and really seemed to enjoy himself.  He was quite the little cutie...

Meanwhile, Maclain hung out with my friend Renee and her son Isaac (one of Maddox's best buds).  She texted me a few pictures while they were together to let me know how Maclain was doing.  She has become quite the momma's girl lately so she was not too happy right after I left her.  She calmed down quickly, though, and had herself some fun of her own...

Park Days

This morning we headed to a new (to us) park in town and let the kids play for a while.  The weather was perfect and the kids had a blast.  We met a couple of friends there and the boys loved running free and hanging out together.  I thought I never was going to convince Maddox it was time to go.

Pitiful

Last week got off to a pretty rough start.  Me and the kids were sick with a tummy bug that took longer than we wanted for it to wear off. :(  I went ahead and took them both in to the doctor on Tuesday morning even though I figured it was just a virus and there wouldn't be anything they could do.  I decided to make it worth the trip so they both got vaccinated for the flu.  Maddox was able to get the flu mist this year, so thankfully he didn't have to get stuck.

Sweet Maddox got sick in the car on the way to the bank one day.  It made him so upset and he actually said, "Mommy, I'm sorry I threw up in the car."  Melt my heart!

 I am so thankful everyone is well, now, and we are back in our normal routine!  I guess I spoke too soon in my last post about loving Novmber.

A New Month

I am SO glad that it is November!  it's probably my favorite month of all... is it bad that I have been totally over Halloween for several days now??  I love everything about November... we get to celebrate Maclain's birthday this month, mine and Daniel's anniversary, and Thanksgiving too!  The weather is a little more consistently cool in November (maybe not in Florida, though). 

We got outside after lunch today to enjoy the beautiful day and welcome my favorite month.  I think Maddox could play in our backyard all day if I let him... and he'd do it without a single "toy" back there.  He loves moving rocks from one place to another.  In fact, he says that's "his job" and takes great pride in it.  Maclain loves the outdoors as well.  She starts shrieking at the top of her lungs if I open the door to start heading outside.

So thankful for Fall days like these!
