Miller - 18 Months

Miller turned 18 months old on April 4th, and it's so strange when I start thinking about her nearing her 2nd birthday.  It seems like she should stay a baby forever, since she is our last. But I guess that's just the way it goes. :)

At 18 months old, Miller's little personality is really starting to come through.  She is getting more and more silly and loves to laugh and play.  She loves to fake sneeze and cough, just to make you laugh and smile at her.  Her walking has turned into more of a run, and she prefers walking to being held now.  Miller is still a great sleeper and is napping for 2-3 hours in the afternoon.  She still has her pacis when she sleeps and I think that's part of the reason she loves being in her bed so much.  Bath time is one of her favorite times of day and she prefers to bathe herself.  She loves "swimming" in the tub and playing with the bubbles.

She still has a hard time being handed off in the church nursery, but she gets over it pretty quickly.  They tell me that Bible class is her favorite part and she sometimes cries when its over. :)  She enjoys playing outside as much as she can, and wants to go wherever Maddox and Maclain go.  Every time we go in the garage to get in the van, she spots her "bike" and starts screaming at me to go on a bike ride.  We have been doing a lot of that since the weather has gotten so pretty!

I am really loving this new stage Miller is entering and am enjoying watching her little personality shine.

Spring Break

Last week was Maddox's spring break, so the kids and I packed up and went to visit my family.  We left Monday morning and came back home Saturday afternoon.  We had a nice, full week and the kids always enjoy going to my parents' house.  We had a couple of play dates while we were there and enjoyed visiting with friends.  I feel like I hardly ever take pictures anymore, but I did take a few this trip.

On Monday and Thursday nights we got to go watch Thomas play baseball.  Their team is undefeated right now so they are off to a great start.  Monday night's game was real nail biter and came down to the last second.  They pulled it out, though, and we were so excited we got to see them play!

I just love this picture :)

While we were in town we took Maddox and Maclain to swim at the sportsplex one afternoon.  It was their first time swimming this season so they were really excited.  I'm really hoping they can both learn to swim on their own this summer.  Fingers crossed! :)

Miller took a special liking to her Uncle Wil and got some snuggle time in with him one night...

We were so glad to be able to go home for the week and spend so much time with family!  Can't wait to do it again this summer!

Easter 2015

We had a nice, quiet Easter at home this year.  It was our first Easter in NC and we decided at the last minute not to travel. The Friday before was the beginning of spring break for us, so we decided to get in the spirit by dying eggs and baking cookies.  Maddox and Maclain really enjoyed dying the eggs (Miller was asleep) and especially loved helping with the cookies.

On Sunday morning the kids had fun opening their surprises, and then we went to first service, which was followed by donuts and an egg hunt for the kids.  We had a great day and are especially thankful that He is risen!
