Airport Overlook

The other day we decided to head over to the airport overlook and watch the planes land and take off.  We spent about 2 1/2 hours that morning hanging out in the shade and enjoying the scenery.  I don't know why planes are so intriguing to me, but they always have been. Miller enjoyed it the most, I believe.  Maddox and Maclain found some rocks and sticks that kept them occupied for quite a while. :)  We packed a picnic lunch and enjoyed the pretty weather... the kids have already been asking to go back!

The Cat in the Hat

The Children's Theater of Charlotte was performing The Cat in the Hat last weekend so I decided to take Maddox and Maclain.  I have always loved going to plays and I may have been more excited about it than they were. ;)  It turned out to be a really cute show and I am so glad I got to take them.  We are enjoying exploring all there is to do here!
